4.0 out of 5 stars Mandolin slicer, you mean mandatory slicer this thing is pretty darned great, makes slicing potatoes and fruit for recipes so much more convienient, and all but removes the risk of cutting yourself.its pretty easy to clean, though be especially careful of the blades… the included cleaning brush helps but you still need to be as careful as any blade.its tough non-porous plastic so it should serve well for a long time unless you purposefully abuse it. cuts clean, quick and easy… though sometimes you have to pick up and reset your produce because it catches on the back of the blade insert… happens more with soft produce. i mostly use it for potatoes right now, but I’m going to be using it to make fruit deserts soon too.if it were ceramic or a totally nonporous non plastic material it’d be perfect, but it’d also be a lot more expensive, and less affordable, for what it is at its price its fabulous.Variation: Color: GreenSize: 6 blades
