I set it up and plugged it in while transferring the food from its storage container to a tin and covering it with aluminum foil. As expected, the lunch box was toasty warm when I placed the tin inside and zipped it up. However, when I returned 30 minutes later, I was shocked to find that the food was still cold, and even the heating plate itself was cold, despite the light being on. I gave up on the experiment and unplugged it. I’ve tried heating it up three times since then, and each time, the light comes on, but it doesn’t heat up. It’s simple to use, pick which cord depending on your power source, and plug it in. No settings, no switches. It’s designed to warm up and stay at a safe temperature. My plan was to use this to warm up lunches when I’m out in my work truck, but I’ll have to plan ahead since it’s a slow heater. It seems like a quality heater and an insulated bag.
