5.0 out of 5 stars Obsessed! Update- 3 months in and I’m still really pleased with these placemats and back to order more for when we have guests. We use them daily and they are holding up so well!Original review:I ordered 3 different colors and ended up keeping the khaki. Khaki has a beige undertone with dark brown accents. The placemats are matte and double sided. They have a slight texture to them but not so much that it traps food or liquid. I included a picture of the edge so you can see both sides and the solid color edge. They arrived flat and individually wrapped, then wrapped in another layer to keep the set of 6 together. One arrived with a bent corner and i was afraid it would have a permanent crease, but i laid it flat and put a Moscow Mule mug (all metal) on top of it and filled that with very hot water- in a few minutes the crease was pressed out and there is no evidence of the fold! There is also no damage to the placemat from the heat.We have 4 young kids, 2 of which required silicone placemats because of how messy they are but i hated looking at the mismatchy colors so decided to switch the whole family to something easier to clean. These placemats shift more than silicone but they don’t slide all over the table and actually work really well with the 20 month olds!These are so easy to clean and while I’m still nervous about stains from red sauce, all of our spills to date haven’t stained! I can easily clean these on the table with a sponge or in the sink. I do notice greasy finger prints on them when the light comes in if i don’t wipe them due to their matte nature but that’s just my reminder to clean them.I can’t believe I’m writing a review on placemats but these have really tied our kitchen together and have made clean up so easy, I had to share!Variation: Color: KhakiItem Shape: RectangularNumber of Items: 6
