The “Vibrant Brushed Moderne Brass” finish has a rich gold brown tone with a brushed, more matte look that reads upscale in person. All three pieces are nicely oversized, so it has real presence on the countertop instead of looking dainty or hollow. It definitely looks nicer than something I would have picked up at a hardware store.The handle feel is the best part. The ceramic disc valves have that smooth, slightly resistant turn that feels deliberate and precise, and once the plumber installed it there was no slop in the controls. Hot and cold are on separate lever handles, and everything just feels tight and well made.A couple practical notes before you buy: this is a widespread set, so you can space the handles where you want, but it also makes the install a little more involved than a single hole faucet. We had a plumber do it and it went in without any issues. The kit includes the spout, both handles, and a matching metal touch activated pop up drain with tailpiece, but it does not include supply hoses. The instructions are only a basic single sheet and felt generic, not especially tailored to this exact faucet. If you install this yourself, you have to take care to ensure that the valves are properly lined up in the off position, as they’re not tied together with the center plate like a regular faucet is. Because of the lacking instructions and some of the gotchas involved in this style of faucet, we had a plumber install it.In daily use, the 1.0 GPM flow rate is plenty for a bathroom sink. The stream is clean and well formed from the aerator, and it rinses soap off hands without feeling like a trickle. The overall look is absolutely beautiful and the gold finish looks absolutely amazing in our bathroom.My husband said the installation was very simple for anyone who has ever installed a faucet before. The entire process of removing the old faucet and installing the new Elate faucet was less than 20 minutes. He said the faucet box contained everything he needed to complete the installation. He noted that the quality of all of the fittings looked really solid and everything connected tightly and as expected.Once the installation was complete, I was thrilled with the look an the function of the faucet! The finish is smooth and supple. I wouldn’t describe it as brushed or polished, it’s kind of matte and it looks incredible. The valves operate smoothly and easily and the faucet seals tightly when you close them. No dripping at all.This is an excellent quality faucet that I love and would absolutely recommend. In my own bathroom, I wanted to try a nicer faucet, and can say the difference in this Kohler is obvious.Everything about it feels like it has “gravity”. The handles work smoothly, with even resistance. The finishing of the metal is perfect, with no sharp edges. The size of the valves and spout is just a bit oversize, giving it a “rich” look.Installation is easy, and the water fittings seem well made and trustworthy.
