5.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Best! Spend the extra few dollars it’s worth it I frikkin LOVE my ice cream maker. Spend the extra money and get the real deal KitchenAid. Chinese crappy knock-offs lose their coldness in half the time of this KitchenAid version. At 75^F ambient temp in my kitchen, I can churn ice cream for an HOUR and the bowl will still freeze and stick to my fingers after I’ve removed the ice cream and move onto the cleaning stage. Definitely read the instructions! Never never use metal in this bowl or allow metal to touch this bowl. There is a special non stick surface to prevent the ice cream from sticking. Do not use this bowl as a serving dish. Always pre-chill your ice cream mix to ~40*F before beginning the churn. And always turn the machine on BEFORE adding mix (stagnant mix will freeze and cause the churner paddle to break). To set/freeze ice cream, I use a BIG-muffin silicone muffin pan. Spatula the churned ice cream into the muffin cups, cover with plastic wrap or unbleached parchment, and freeze. The silicone doesn’t stick to the ice cream. Just punch it out from the bottom.Variation: Pattern Name: Food Mixer

5.0 out of 5 stars Kid approved!!! The “KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment for Stand Mixer 2 Quart, KSMICM, White” is wonderful! Easy to use, easy to clean, and instructions are spot on. All you do is freeze the bowl 16-24 hours ahead of time, attach frozen bowl to mixer, and pour in your recipe to begin- with a whisk of course! The attachment is as quiet as any other and had my family of 6 a small bowl of ice cream ready in about 30 minutes. There are many recipes out, but we chose a quick recipe just to try! My kids LOVE being part of ice cream making now, and we are super happy with our purchase.Variation: Pattern Name: Food Mixer

5.0 out of 5 stars More ice cream, please! I’m so glad to finally have an ice cream maker for my home. It’s easy to use and makes great ice cream. Well, it makes great ice cream if you have a great recipe. If I had to find something wrong with it, I would say it needs a lot of room in the freezer to get ready to make ice cream. I usually keep it in the freezer of my garage fridge. When I have not had a lot of freezer space, I have also removed my ice bin to make space for it. The only other thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t make much ice cream. If I wanted to make ice cream for the family, I would buy something else. Our family loves homemade ice cream, but I would have to start a couple of days in advance if I wanted to make enough for the kids and grandkids. As it is, I was aware of these things before I bought it. Nama and Papa like to sneak ice cream every chance we get.Variation: Pattern Name: Food Mixer

5.0 out of 5 stars Ice cream in 20-30 minutes (after a 24 hour freeze)! Gave this as a gift to my mom for her Birthday and she absolutely loved it. It’s super easy to use, the only weird part about it is how the paddle connects to the mixer. It doesn’t look right even when you’ve attached it properly. I believe that’s just the way it is manufactured.I should also note that none of the kids that are sold on Amazon and marketed as fitting this actually fit. So you would probably be better off buying a loaf pan with a lid than trying to find a lid that will fit this.Variation: Pattern Name: Food Mixer

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, It worked! Easy to use. First two batches were a flop, third batch we increased the heavy cream and reduced the milk, and rich creamy decadent soft serve ice cream. All three times, we left the attachment in the freezer for 20 hours. Chilled the batter for 4 and then put the batter in the freezer for the last 30 minutes. Very easy to use. Kept it on stir low speed setting, so low noise. First to batches stirred for 25 minutes. The third batch for 14, we ad coffee flavored espresso that was so good.Variation: Pattern Name: Food Mixer

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE! Such a great attachment. So glad I purchased this! I have noticed how awful store bought ice cream has made me feel. Once I saw the huge ingredient list, I knew I wanted to try to make my own. This attachment is perfect. It is a great size, it makes a 2ltr tub of ice cream easily without making a mess. The instructions were clear, it works just as it says it will and having a new kitchenaid mixer the noise level is low.Just make sure to freeze the bowl for 24 hours before using!Variation: Pattern Name: Food Mixer
