    EXCELLENT

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a serious cooler. There seems to be lots of cheap coolers relisted on Amazon for more than they are worth. This ain’t one of them. I bought the dark grey tactical looking model (of course I did). This is a real, well made, heavy duty, serious cooler. An actual small or mini ice chest if you will. It’s very premium looking AND feeling. No joke. It is very impressive. This is not a playmate cooler. It’s not hollow feeling nor does it feel like cheap plastic or materials. It’s a hard plastic, solid shell. The fit and finish is perfect. The gripper name is a pretty accurate description too. The bottom of the carry handle has a very nice rubber(ish) material on it. It feels very nice and is not slipping out of your hands. The entire bottom of the cooler, and all around the lower sides are also wrapped in a similar non-slip rubber ish material. I noticed immediately when I placed it down onto my granite coutertops that this cooler was not moving. I mean, not sliding around AT ALL. It stayed exactly where I placed it and would not move or slide around as I inspected it.For a quick test – I loaded up SIX – 18oz drinks (BIA drinks) out of my fridge and into this chest of a cooler. Laid the bottles down on their sides, and I found 2 medium sized reusable ice packs from inside my freezer, and placed one into the small cavity left empty between the bottles and the side of the chest, and was able to fit a second into the little “nest area” inside the top of the lid. That little net/barricade to keep items in that compartment is a flexible silicone type of material that can be opened, folded, possibly even removed. The point is it’s flexible and not a hard stop that will prevent the lid from closing and sealing if some bottles are a little too tall in the lower portion. Anyway – I added the two frozen gel packs and closed the cooler. I waited a few hours and opened it back up – to drinks that were colder than they were went i put them in. MUCH colder. Almost to the point of being uncomfortable to drink. This was a surprise for me, cause I can’t say I’ve ever had a cheap cooler do that with ice packs. Maintain a cold drink – sure. Actually have all the drinks get COLDER without being submerged into actual ice water? No. Can’t say remember that happening before, at least to this degree. It’s VERY impressive. To add – right after I ordered this – I stumbled onto a listing for an 8 quart Ozark Trail cooler. Listed for $19.99 I believe, and another $14.99 shipping fee. I immediately recognized that as a Walmart brand, and checked their website. As I suspected – only $10.95 on the website. I ordered that one too. $11 + tax + a $6 delivery fee (for not meeting min checkout for free shipping) from THEIR website – instead of the $35 + tax on the AMZ listing – flirting with $40 had I bought it from here. These 2 coolers are NOT anywhere NEAR the same quality. Not in the same league. Not in the same ballpark. The Ozark Trail is a cheap “make it through my work shift” hollow, thin plastic cooler. The Igloo Gripper is a personal ice chest. It’s a Honda Civic vs a Corvette. They are THAT far apart from each other. So beware how you spend your money online when you can’t see/feel things for yourself. For the $19 (or $11 in-store) I spent on the Ozark Trail – it’s a good, cheap, “I don’t care what happens to this thing” cooler. The Igloo is a much higher quality, for not alot more money if you bought them both from AMZ.A little comparison on delivery too. The Ozark Trail was delivered from Walmart as a “cooler” sitting on my porch. No box, no nothing. Literally just a cooler from off the shelf left on my porch. The Igloo off AMZ arrived factory packaged and boxed. Wrapped in plastic, inside a fitted factory box to ensure perfect condition, and then inside another Amazon box. I’ll probably add some product pictures later, but again – this Igloo is very impressive. And this is not a vine or paid for review. It’s my genuine impression of the product. You’ll be impressed too.Edit – as I typically wind up doing – I spent the extra money to buy something nice, bought the cheap one too – and then decided the more expensive item is too nice to watch it get ruined at work – cause I’ll be disappointed if this thing falls off a truck. For MY NEEDS – the Ozark trail is fine. I have access to an ice machine at work, I can refill it with ice every morning and the ice absolutely does not last 24 hours. Just sitting in my living room to test it – the Igloo kept drinks “cool” almost 2 days after u put the ice packs in. Not ice cold – but even just cool compared to room temp after almost 2 days just using 2 small gel packs is still pretty impressive in my eyes. Esp for the money. I think if it said Yeti on the side, people would drop $100+ on this thing and swear it was still worth it.Variation: Color: Tactical Grey

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for your man! Purchased for my husband as a Father’s Day gift and he loved it. I like the design cause it looks like a tool box and it’s perfect to keep in the car with drinks and it’s spill proof. Keeps the food/drinks cold and has a decent amount of space. Also very sturdy.Variation: Color: Tactical Grey

5.0 out of 5 stars A remake of the original much better now Just tried this cooler out took forever to get here almost 3 weeks but good purchase is heavy even for a small cooler I used it with an ice pack on the bottom you could put a six pack in there a pop or beer we’ll hold bottles not quite as many if you’re putting an ice pack in the bottom has the compartment up above for sandwiches or chips or if you really want to keep it cold or you could always put an ice pack above too it kept everything nice and cold for at least 8 hours I put in reusable ice cubes by zero ice the small ones dump the whole bag in there with the ice block on the bottom had no problem in 90° heat keeping everything cold until I made it home could be used for lunch box I think that’s what they made it for but I’ll see you could do it for a travel cooler if it’s just you you could put food snacks just put a ice block on the bottom add some reusable ice that way your stuff doesn’t get wet and soggy and you’re good to go everything will stay cold at least for a day I recommend it well designed well but has metal latches doesn’t slide multiple colored choices I took the darker color to keep it clean looking from dirtVariation: Color: Tactical Grey

4.0 out of 5 stars Cumbersome The Hulk of lunchboxes. This thing is a small cooler masquerading as a lunchbox. Sturdy. Solid. No complaints other than this thing is HUGE. Thats why it got 4 stars. Carrying this around for a daily lunchbox is cumbersome. But it is worth the money.Variation: Color: Americana

5.0 out of 5 stars Igloo lunchbox win My husband loves his lunchbox. It’s solid so if it moves around in the vehicle the lunchbox isn’t going to collapse comprising the food inside and it insulates well. Has a compartment for drinks and buckles closed on the outside. Love the colors. His lunchbox never gets mistaken for someone else’s!Variation: Color: Industrial Yellow

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT for worksite or the beach! It keeps things cold for a whole day! It is great for when you want to carry a couple lunches with beverages, but don’t want to carry a giant cooler. It is very strong and well built, good enough for a worksite. The cooler has a top compartment to separate chips or delicate food from the rest of the heavier lunch items. This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.Variation: Color: Jet Carbon
