5.0 out of 5 stars Literally, the best pans on the market. I had read so many reviews before deciding to purchase, and I came to one conclusion from so many people writing bad reviews — you all don’t know how to cook! I have cooked fish, seared a steak, cooked scrambled eggs with cheese, poached an egg, fried bacon, made a bourbon reduction sauce with molasses and the consistent result from all these — everything was cooked to perfection and literally slid right out of the pan.I wanted to try these particular pans because for so long I’ve used Lodge cast iron pans. Don’t get me wrong my cast iron pans are amazing but the constant maintenance can be exhausting. The Hexclad pan is being promoted as a hybrid of stainless steel, the durability of cast iron, and completely non-stick. They didn’t disappoint. Plus they’re so much lighter than my cast iron skillets and cleanups are a breeze.Let me give anyone who reads this a few tips:#1 Follow the directions given in the package.#2 Please, put a buffer between what you’re cooking and the pan. I use beef tallow, lard, or ghee. And please whatever you do, stay away from seed oils. Not only are they extremely unhealthy for you but their high heat points can’t cut it like natural fats.#3 Cook on low to medium heat. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be surprised at how well these pans heat up.#4 When using any stainless steel utensils, don’t dig into the pan or use a fork with the tines down scraping the bottom, or doing the same thing with a knife, or ….. you get the point. See what I did there? Point? And lastly #5 …… refer back to #2 and you won’t go wrong. Watching some of the videos where someone is cooking scrambled eggs without a buffer — what did you think was going to happen!? SMHHappy cooking!Update: I have used this pan for just about everything and I absolutely love it. It has literally became my favorite pan. Cooking is fun once again and the food tastes better. The ergonomics of the pan handle helps as it stays cool. But don’t put your pan in the oven at 500° and then grab it by the handle because your’re itching for a burn you don’t want. This pan is a little heavier than what most of you are use to with your Teflon pans; that’s because they’re made from quality materials. I am disappointed they’re made in China, but they are designed and planned here in the US.So the reason for writing this update is, and as I stated earlier, I really love this pan. So much so I purchased the complete set. Everyone has their own set of pans they love, and all I’m doing is giving you my two cents worth. As of right now 11.21.2024, Hexclad has their Black Friday sale. Check them out as you won’t be disappointed.Happy cooking!Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 10-inch

5.0 out of 5 stars Daily use, with oil, improves performance. I really thought i messed up. All that money for this pan, and eggs stuck! Well it was only the first day. I seasoned it with some canola oil, heated it up and tried it out. I hate flipping eggs on a good day, and this was NOT a good day. Stuck to the bottom, even with small amount of oil.But i really needed a pan, and, like it or not, it was going to get used hard, every day for breakfast, and sometimes dinner, too! Bacon, sausage, fried potatoes, hamburger, steak, and the eggs. I give up, i just help them with a spatula and steam with a little water. Did that even with a nonstick pan. So i guess i couldnt complain. So, as it turned out, all that greasy food has done a good job seasoning the pan, and i can still use the plastic spatulas and not scratch the surface. When im done, deglazing the pan, and wiping it down cleans it up well. Dont use soap, or youre back to square one. I have a few little grease stains on that nice stainless edge, cosmetic, from pouring out excess oil before cooking.Scrambled eggs pull easily off the pan, nothing gets really stuck, like the first day. It pays to use the pan all the time, and this 12in pan just might last longer than the nonstick ones ive gone through every year, and that would be worth the $200.One thing, like if youve cooked up some meat, like bacon, etc. and you plan on putting eggs next in that pan, deglaze the pan with small amount of water to bubble off all that sticky stuff. Then pour in the eggs and they wont stick at all!Daily use for 2 weeks, and it seems like its broken in. I havent tried an omlette in it yet. I may just chicken out and get another nonstick for omlettes. Next im gonna try the titanium pan, see how that works!Meanwhile we will see how long the hexclad lasts. I thoroughly expect this pan to last me years, which is more than i can get out of the average nonstick! I go through one of those a year. And at $50 a pop, its getting old. If this pan, “pans out”, i may get the hexclad wok, next!Update, the more i use it, the more nonstick it gets! This pan is a real workhorse!Update, may 29.Im back to using stainless steel spatulas, they work best of all. Not perfectly non stick. I wont try an omlette in this pan, but you cant beat it for everything else! I use a copper scour pad and hot water to clean it, right off the stove. The outside has developed a brown patina from daily use, not affecting performance. Other thing i noticed. I used to just slap bacon strips on a cold pan heating up. Not with this pan you dont! I heat the pan a bump past Medium. When its heated up, now i put down the bacon and it cooks evenly instead of burning in the center of pan. Live and learn, huh?Uploaded this pan, dont know if it made it. This pan works hard! After using stainless turners, the finish is just fine. Youd just about have to take a corner of a stainless turner and gouge the pan, pressing hard! Who does that? Im thinking of getting a pizza steel. Pressing a sharp pizza wheel might be a good test of the hybrid finish!Im thinking of getting that titanium soon just to spread the work.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 12-inch

5.0 out of 5 stars Treat it Right 4 Non-stick that Lasts, Larger Cooking Surface, No PTFE/PFAS Update: I’ve used this pan now since the end of June pretty much daily. And I have to say it’s the best investment I’ve ever made in a frying pan. Cooking in it is so easy, and my food, whether it’s eggs, cheese or anything else just slides right out onto the plate. And clean up? What clean up? All I have to do is wipe it out or run it under the tap water. I’m also glad I bought it with the lid. Sometimes I’ll just steam some veggies with a little water, and the lid insures they get cooked fast and easy. This is a wonderful kitchen product that saves me time and effort, and it turns out delicious tasting food!I was ‘sold’ at Costco when seeing the possiblilites of this non-stick frying pan. Salesman showed me avocado oil sprayed on, then an egg slipping out effortlessly. Also showed me a metal spatula scraping the bottom. Online I found out NOT to use a spray of any kind unless it’s propelled by air, and NOT to use a metal spatula! I also read that the company was initially sued due to HTPE as the non-stick formula. But in 2024 it switched to ceramic, which has no PFAS. Also Costco only carries a complete set, but all I needed was a 10″ pan.Fortunately, I found it on Amazon, and I love it! With good care it should last at least 5 years, provided I cook on med-low to low heat, clean it properly with a sponge, NOT put the hot pan in water, use the preferred low-smokepoint oils like avocado, use silicone spatulas, and hand wash. Ok, I know you’re thinking that’s a lot. But it’s soooo worth it.What’s to love? First and foremost, it is non-stick. All of my ceramic pans have lasted a year of less, then food was stuck like cement and no amount of scrubbing returned them to normal. To season Hexclad properly, follow these manufacturer’s directions: “Heat your pan over medium-low heat for about 30 seconds. Pour 1 teaspoon of neutral oil (like vegetable, avocado, or olive oil) into the pan and swirl to coat. You can also use a paper towel to spread the oil all the way to the edges. Increase the heat to medium and continue to heat the pan for 1 to 2 minutes.”The pan has some heft but it’s not wrist-breaking. The sides heat up the same as the bottom, giving as much cooking surface as a 12” pan. The glass cover is well made and substantial, sealing in flavors if you use it for that purpose. Food cooks evenly without burning on the outside while undercooked inside. It doesn’t rust or give a metallic taste to a meal like carbon steel does. It’s not too heavy like iron. All in all I’m very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 10-inch

5.0 out of 5 stars It really is Non stick! And it's really pretty. It was time to purchase a new10 inch skillet. I was looking for awhile and kept coming back to Hexclad. I’ve seen Hexclad and thought they looked really nice but the price was always out of reach for me. I thought to myself, “Are they really worth the hype I’ve seen online?” I happened to ask my sister in law if she knew anyone who had them and she said that they have them. She said she loves hers and that she’s had them for a couple of years with no issues. Her husband just bought the 7 inch for his eggs. I decided to get the 10″ skillet because it was on sale during a Prime Day sale. It came packaged really well. It was inside a bag that was inside the Hexclad box that was inside of a cardboard box that was inside of Amazon’s shipping box!I’ve only had it a couple of weeks but I really like cooking with it. So does my husband. It uses a lower heat than the pans I was using before. I cooked scrambled eggs and they came right out of the pan and it looked almost clean! I’ve made home made Alfredo sauce on a low heat and it slid right out of the pan too. Last night I made smash burger tacos in it and they were delicious. Clean up was a breeze. I wiped it out with a paper towel. It looked clean because nothing stuck to it but I then hand washed it with soap. I’ve made a few other things and so far no food has stuck to it.I love that I can use it in the oven too. When cooking on the stove it cooks evenly, even up the sides of the pan. The pan is comfortable to use and it’s not too heavy. I struggle with a bad shoulder so that’s really important for me. I like it so well that I just might have to buy the 12″ soon.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 10-inch

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Nonstick Pan That Cooks Evenly! I’ve been very happy with this frying pan. It heats evenly, the nonstick surface makes cooking and cleanup much easier, and the included lid is a great bonus. I’ve used it for everything from eggs to chicken, and food releases easily without sticking. The stay-cool handle is comfortable to hold, and I like that it’s dishwasher and oven safe. It’s become one of my favorite pans, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality everyday skillet.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 10-inch

3.0 out of 5 stars It's just OK To start, I’m not a professional chef, but I do cook alot. I have a combination of stainless, Teflon, carbon steel, and cast iron cookware. This pan was to replace a Teflon pan that someone scratched. When we bought this pan, it was amazing. Frying eggs were effortless as they just glided around the pan. Within a month though, stuff started to really stick, even when using butter or olive oil. The Teflon pan that we were using prior to this purchase was better. The pan still works fine, and I do like the handle and lid. It also cleans up easily. At this point, I have switched back over to my cast iron pan for eggs.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 10-inch

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth it!! I nearly cry every time I use this 10″ Hexclad frying pan because it is so amazing! I can do anything in it! At 74 I have plowed through so many “non-stick” pans over the years, only to have them stick, peel, chip, et. This pan is absolutely exceptional, beautiful and worth the very pricy cost. I have fried things in it, done pancakes with no oil, baked BBQ; I have used a fork, metal spatula, and there is not even a mark. It is a breeze to wash, whether I do it by hand, or throw it in the dishwasher. It has lived up to every non-stick promise. Time will tell all, but so far I could not be happier.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 10-inch

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome too expensive Love it. heats evenly! You must take care of it! Low med is like almost med high. don’t ever go above med high and you’ll be fine. I try and stay under med high. No need to go that high. season it once when getting it. follow the directions and its nonstick. 12 inch is great and its sturdy and handle is comfy. the sizes are true. It’s compatible with all surfaces. 4 stars because it’s damn expensive. Anyway ex chef. if you’re going to sauté and beat the pans up get stainless and use fats. Yes you can in this pan just don’t slide it around on grates slam it down. If you want flames get stainless probably too hot for all the time use with hex clad. Not tested by me just an observation.Variation: Style: Pan + LidSize: 12-inch
