I have used a stand blender for such a long time, but sometimes miss having a handheld immersion blender. I saw this immersion blender that is cordless and decided to get it so that I can use it anywhere and also take it camping with me.I have so many different Dash kitchen products and have been extremely happy with all of them, so getting this cordless handheld immersion blender from Dash was a no brainer. I knew it would be high quality and work as intended and I was not wrong.I love that there is a rechargeable battery for this blender. It reminds me of all of my husband’s hand tools that have rechargeable batteries. It is so handy to just use the immersion blender anywhere. My countertop blender is amazing but I can only use it where I have it since it is too heavy to move around. This works so well and I actually like using it much better, especially since there is no cord to worry about.I plugged in the charger immediately upon unboxing and it did not take very long to charge at all. I don’t know how long it will take to charge when it needs charging from completely dead but it is super easy to use so I am sure it won’t be a burden at all. I love the size and color of this handheld immersion blender and it has as much power as I will ever need from a blender.I have added a coffee mug to the pictures for size reference.I highly recommend ANY Dash kitchen products. 4.0 out of 5 stars Not "Dash sized" Dash made it’s name with mini sized kitchen appliances and if you order this expecting that you will receive a miniaturized version of a stick blender, you’re going to be disappointed. Just as is shown in the item pictures and description, this is a full sized appliance. Dash states that you can get about 20 minutes of use per (2 1/2 hour) charge and in fairness, that’s probably enough to get through most blending sessions. Or, it would be, if it didn’t keep shutting itself down. As one of the other reviewers here noted, there is a label on the battery cover warning not to use it more than 30 seconds at a time and that it shuts off after 60 seconds of continued use.Once they’re able to correct the limitations on the battery life, this is going to be a great kitchen tool. It already is, if you can remain within the (very strict) limitations that they’ve spelled out for it’s use. But, if you hope to be able to use this in the same manner as you use your corded machine, you’ll be dismayed to learn that you can’t.

But not for heavy duty cooking.First – the blender is battery operated, making the handle set up heavier than I like. Second – the bottom of the handle is rounded you cannot stand it on end, and laying flat it takes up a lot of counter space when not in use. Third – there are limits on how long you can run it at a time, no heavy duty for this one.I tried it on scrambled eggs and it did well. I mixed in several ingredients including some shredded cheese. This blender handled it okay, but not within the 30 sec run time limit. I had to stop and start a couple of times. There is only one blade type, no choices.This immersion blender is part of the Dash Cordless Collection – they have [separately] a mixer and a personal blender. I have the person blender but have not tried it yet. The collection all use the same size and type battery and the same type separate charger.There is a two button on switch for safety. Once you get used to it, it is easy to use.It is well made and feels solid.So, all in all, this blender is for light use. I can see it being used for coffee things, eggs, drinks etc. But not for serious heavy cooking.

When charged, this blender provides enough power to do everything I need it for from smoothies, making mayonnaise to whipping cream. It is fast, efficient, and easy to clean. I appreciate the French grey color, though I am used to the bright colorful appliances from Dash, so this was a change. I feel it’s a great value for the money and love the freedom of having no cord.
