5.0 out of 5 stars solid and beautiful dinnerware I grabbed this dinnerware set because our old plates were getting super chipped and we needed a fresh update. Love the subtle cappuccino color and the double ring design on these dishes. They have a really nice artisanal look without feeling too fancy for everyday meals. The plates and bowls are a great size for family dinners and they stack up nicely in the cupboard without taking up a ton of room. As far as the materials and construction goes, this stoneware feels incredibly solid and has a nice weight to it. I was a bit worried about our metal forks and knives scratching up the surface but the glaze on these seems perfectly scratch resistant and there are no marks left behind after eating. They also run through the dishwasher and microwave without getting insanely hot or showing any wear and tear. I really appreciate that the materials are totally lead free so I can serve meals with confidence. Everything about the build quality tells me these dishes are well made and will absolutely survive daily wear and tear without chipping. 5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Set That Feels Special Without Being Fussy These dishes have a lot more personality than the typical matching dinnerware set. The blue-grey reactive glaze has nice variation from piece to piece, and the slightly irregular shapes give everything a handmade look without making the set feel mismatched. They look especially good on the table with food on them.I was also pleasantly surprised by how substantial the pieces feel. They have a nice weight and don’t come across as thin or fragile. The finish feels smooth and well done, and the bowls have a useful shape and depth rather than being purely decorative. Everything feels sturdy enough for regular use.Being able to put the pieces in both the microwave and dishwasher makes them much more practical. That’s important to me because attractive dinnerware isn’t particularly useful if it requires special treatment every day.For a 12-piece service for four, I think the quality and distinctive appearance make this a good value. 4.0 out of 5 stars Rustic texture resists knife-scratches well, small bowls hold 2 cups, manufacturer info wears off Of the many variations of this set of stoneware, we got the all-white “linen” set with the rustic textured finish. Traditionally I have avoided plain white dishes due to the tendency of them to easily scratch and start looking bad when you use a knife on them. The best part of this set (for us) is that the claims of scratch-resistance seem to be true: the plates are well-hardened and even if they did get scratched it would be tougher to notice. Having a set of white plates whose decoration doesn’t compete with the visuals of the food is good when doing certain kinds of presentation.When it comes to the bowls: I immediately felt when taking them out of the box that they were too small. One can of a soup like Progresso (2 cups) fills a bowl to where carrying it to put in the microwave risks spilling it over the top. Something like a salad would be restricted in portion size. So I’m just not sure how often we’ll use the bowls.On a less subjective note–which other reviewers have mentioned–the manufacturer’s information began wearing off after only a couple of washes. It’s kind of a problem in the sense that it makes the dishes seem lower-end, and could affect things like resale. But also because that information tells people about the microwave and dishwasher safety. How much this matters to people will likely vary, but it leads me to drop a star…even though I am a fan of the plates and think these seem a fair value for the asking price.Variation: Color: WhiteSize: Set(12pcs)
