I toasted a piece of sourdough using the bread setting at the second to darkest level, and it still came out surprisingly light. Then I tried a waffle on the same darkness, but on the waffle settings, and it ended up a little more cooked than I prefer. I think there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve to figuring out which settings work best for each type of food.That said, it does toast pretty evenly, and I really like the sleek, modern design. Overall, I’m happy with it so far and just need a little more time to find the settings that work best for us.
