I didn’t realize it was going to be so difficult finding ones that would not only fit but offer comfort was well. I think I must’ve code red at least 3 other sets from other vendors as none of them were either thick enough or comfortable to sit on. This set was the winner. I removed the tie-backs because I could use them. With that being said, yes they do stay in place. They fit just right. I like the appearance and the quality isn’t bad. After sitting on them a while, I was worried they would look flat but the memory foam is definitely doing its job! We are happy with the thickness of the cushions making them a great place to sit, eat, & chat! I ordered light gray & they are very attractive. The zippers in the cushions make the covers easy to get on & off for washing. The cushions grip the chair & with the ties in the back, they do not slide around at all. Great fabric, very comfy, and larger than Department store cushions.But, the ties are not removable, so I will have to cut them off, and each cushion has an ugly black brand name tag that looks awful on my beige cushions! Once opened the inside foam expanded perfectly and fit my chairs. I am very happy with them. The thickness is perfect. Nice and comfortable. I have small grandchildren so I was able to stack 2 on one chair to make like a booster seat.
