I had donated my prior knife block as it took up way too much room on my counter and dulled the edges of the knives. Sturdy without being bulky. It doesn’t topple over easily and I have some big honkin’ knives on it. One side is a bit stronger magnetically, so I put the heavier knives on the front side. It can be maneuvered easily about the counter. I never wanted my knives out on the counter because of a rational/irrational fear of it being a weapon by home intruders.
