4.0 out of 5 stars Nice set but not worth the retail price. Nice set of knives for the 50+% off. Everything is pretty sharp and decently made. I would say they don’t value out to the $4xx.xx regular price. But at $2xx.xx they are worth it. We have been using $30-$100 knife sets for awhile and I finally wanted to move up to better tier of knives. Handles feel really nice in your hand, the pinch grip feature is really nice and makes you want to use them that way. The block is well built, the knives themselves have some weight to them so they don’t feel super cheap. They are made in china so you’re not going to be feeling the fine details of a high end set. They do their job well, look and feel good. 4 stars because they do have a made in china feel to them still. If I thought they were made by the Japanese I would be disappointed. Their quality is top notch and there’s minor imperfections that some will notice. I have already and will when on sale ad to this loong series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful set. This is a very nice mid-range kitchen knife set. The steel used is actually named and is a good solid stainless steel that’s a good balance for a set like this. The handles are beautiful and look high-end. The only thing I find a little odd is the scissors. The little swivel lock fell out and the spring disappeared somewhere in the kitchen within the first week of use. They still work OK but seem a bit over-complicated for kitchen scissors. They blades are very sharp out of box – so be careful.A little warning for you all if you get these – and I’m embarrassed to even discuss this: When you fill the knife block with the knives – make sure the sharp side of the big knives are all turned to the middle of the block. Otherwise – the sharp end hangs out over the edge of the block and is a significant danger. I loaded the knives without thinking about that and reached around the block at one point and got the top of my right thumb with the heal of one of the big knives that I loaded backwards. It got me good. I’ll always have a scar there now. It was stupid and completely my mistake – so don’t do the same thing. Be careful. the only blades that shouldn’t have the sharp end pointing to the middle of the block would be the steak knives at the bottom. Those can be loaded with the sharp end down. The block will cover the apex just fine when loaded that way.Anyhow – I would recommend this set. Check the price history because the price does seem to bounce around a bit. It’s a great deal when the price is down.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best knife ever First of all, handle with care! These knives are super sharp. BUT, they cut the toughest piece of beef so easily. They look beautiful and are worth the money.
Well built. Fits in my and wife’s hand great. Good grip on the handle . Good looking. Very sharp. Wife loves them but expensive. But so far so good
5.0 out of 5 stars Feels like this should be much more expensive. Very impressive set. Much more elegant and well made than I expected. Seems comparable to much more expensive sets. One thing to remember is to load the knives with the blades having in towards the middle rather than facing out to make the handles look better. The steak knives can only go in the one way. Feeling really good about this purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Happy Customer Absolutely love this block kitchen knife set. Extremely sharp. Seems heavy duty. Been using a couple of weeks with no complaints. Recommend this to others.
