The metal inside them seems sturdy and the silicone coating appears thick enough that the metal won’t poke through and scratch things. The only caveat I can think of is that if you put them in the dishwasher they will come out with spots, so we hand wash. Cleaning the silicone is easy- I haven’t found anything that sticks to it yet.
