It does come with a marble stand. It’s fairly heavy, but seems to move freely. I purchased this one because the handles were aluminum & not wood. Some reviews of other rolling pins mentioned the wood handles had cracked. Thought this might be a better choice. Some people like to put their rolling pins in the freezer before rolling out pie crust so icy metal would be more uncomfortable to handle than wood. 5.0 out of 5 stars Who Knew That I Needed a Marble Rolling Pin I’m a hobby pie baker, and by chance I learned that a heavier rolling pin might be beneficial to my efforts, so I bought this one. It does work well, and is easy to clean, but you do have to be careful to not carelessly get a sprained wrist from the unsupported weight. 5.0 out of 5 stars Good quality at a great price I had a marble rolling pin with wooden handles. The handles didn’t last a year but my repair made the pin last for 30 years until It broke. This rolling pin replaced it and I love the metal handles and the weight of it is just right for rolling out my oil pie crust. 5.0 out of 5 stars The rolling pin made of marble is very beautiful I was looking for a rolling pin for my wife and settled on this marble rolling pin, it really looks beautiful, my wife really liked it.The order came with a minor defect on the metal handle, you can see it in the photo, but it’s not that bad, the main thing is that it wasn’t broken.The rolling pin is not big but heavy, which makes it much easier to roll out the dough compared to plastic and wooden ones, but you can’t drop it.
