For many years I simply clamped my Anova Sous Vide Precision Cooker to the side of a big stockpot and cooked my vacuum-sealed food. It works, but a lot of heat escapes, so I decided to go ahead and splurge on this purpose-built container.It fits my sous vide cooker perfectly and has a neoprene skin that insulates the bottom and sides. There’s also a silicone top that fits well to keep the heat from sneaking out the top. The cooker clamps to the corner, which has so far shown no signs of weakness.It comes with a highly configurable rack, which for me is the highlight of the purchase. Keeping the food pinned down with space around each item means more even cooking (or reheating). You can move or remove the center dividers, and there’s even a bar that goes across the top to keep everything in place.I’m not sure if I’ll ever use it enough to actually save the money I spent on this in electricity savings, but having the rack makes it all worth it.
