I allowed the seat pad to breathe over night. It expanded a bit over 2” thick. There is NO odor.The seat pads are comfortable, the high density foam is stable, medium firm. It features a non-slip backing, seat covers are easy to maintain since they are machine washable. The seat pad covers feature loops on the back, you can opt to use the ties to keep the pads in place ornot. The fabric used for the seat covers is soft. The khaki color is a warm, vibrant hue. The cover is well sewn, zippers are recessed and the zipper head can be tucked in easily.The set of 4 also includes a set of pads for each of the bottom of your chairs. I ordered a chair cushion from another seller first and ended up returning it because the quality just wasn’t there, it felt thin and didn’t hold its shape. This one, however, was great right out of the box. It arrived neatly packed and compressed. I carefully unpacked it and laid it flat for a few hours so it could fully regain its shape. After that, it fluffed up evenly and looked exactly like the pictures.Putting the cover on was easy, everything lined up perfectly and fit without any struggle. Once on the chair, the cushion felt supportive, not too firm or too soft. The materials feel durable, the stitching is solid, and overall it’s clearly better made and more comfortable than the first one I tried.
