But I had two plates crack already and I’m really gentle with my dishes. I’ve had my other dishes for 11 years and they’re still good but I just wanted these cuz they were like nautically to me. But yes I would recommend them if you get a good batch. I’m debating if I should reorder them or not.. Amazon wouldn’t let me just get an extra plate or two instead. Unfortunately, the durability has been disappointing. After normal everyday use, the pieces started to chip much sooner than I expected. because the color is darker, the chips are noticeable and take away from the overall quality. I found one of the large plates damaged in the dishwasher the other day, not sure what happened because I remembered hand washing it and placed it to dry in there, and contacted them to buy a replacement as it was my fault, and they replaced it for free, they sent me 2 plates for free instead of just one! Even more than that, we’ve been impressed with the customer support from the company.After owning a set of the dinner plates, dessert plates and bowls for only a couple of months – one of the smaller plates received a chip after going through the dish washer. I reached out to the company and received a prompt email in return within the next 1–2 days. I was told they did not have single plates for replacement but instead, they offered to send me an entire new set of the smaller dessert plates. This was in addition to keeping the other plates of my set that were still good. The plates were not in stock unfortunately, and I was told it would take about a month to receive them, but the company was excellent with follow up communication throughout the process to let me know as soon as the new set had been received and shipped.From my understanding, this is a small company.
