There is no hot air movement as in an air fryer. That said, it does have an air fryer setting but takes longer to cook and uses higher temperatures. It has a lot of settings including pizza, bake, toast bagel , snack and broil. We use it everyday. It does heat up my kitchen almost as much as large oven. But it is handy. Pizza does really well.
