5.0 out of 5 stars Beautifully Crafted Dishes for an Affordable Price! I have had the same set of Pfaltzgraff dishes, for 24 years. They were chipped and had the dark silverware marks on them. I just couldn’t find a set that compared to their size and shape…..until now!!! These dishes are beautiful! They arrived individually wrapped, and carefully packaged, to ensure there weren’t any chips or cracks. Each box had a double-side card with information about the dishes and how to care for them, should they get silverware marks on them. They are not perfectly round, which makes them so cool and unique. The plates offer a lot of room for food; 10.5” diameter and you truly get that much space. The bowls are wide and not too deep so they fit very nicely in the dishwasher. I purchased the vanilla white set which are cream colored with very light brown edge. This hint of color is a nice offset to the rest of the dish. They are a sturdy set of dishes but aren’t too heavy. The customer service is AMAZING!! I have never encountered a company that stands behind their product quite like this company does. I had 3 dessert plates and 1 bowl whose bottoms weren’t smoothed out after the reactive glaze was applied. They offered me a partial refund OR replacements. Seeing as I don’t use dessert plates much, I asked if they would be willing to send me 2 dinner plates and 2 bowls, instead. Not only did they agree but 1 day later the replacements showed up…..6 dinner plates and 6 bowls. What an INCREDIBLE surprise! The only disappointment is that they don’t sell matching serving pieces. I never bought a brand new set in my life since I always bought secondhand. When I became newly married, I wanted something that was fresh. This set caught my eye because of the artsy and differed shapes. Yet, they’re elegant and sturdy looking.When they arrived, I was in love. I’ve used them for company, including children. They’re great for putting them in the washer and the color is beautiful. I ordered a set of six and then a set of four in the ocean glaze….the glazes are a bit different in each order but also within each set. So if you want matchy-matchy dishes, these are not for you! I use these in the microwave and dishwasher and they have held up well. Others complain that they have broken in the microwave but so far, mine are holding up just fine.
