Product Description

Reston Lloyd is pleased to launch their new line of Eurita clay pot cookers. The Eurita brand celebrates the company founder; Rita Bolle, who founded Reston Lloyd five decades ago. Reston Lloyd’s first clay pot cooker was called Schlemmertopf and featured a warm brick oven motif. The new line features not only the brick oven design but comes in large useful sizes. The roaster comes with an unglazed lid which is soaked in water before use. During the cooking process, this absorbed water is released in the form of steam. This steaming method of cooking, will ensure your food is tender as well as infused with all-natural flavors. The bottom section was coated with a glass frit glaze which benefits users with a quick clean up. The lid motif features a baked turkey, vegetables, fish, and loaf of bread. Hand wash with regular dish soap suggested. Use in a microwave oven or regular oven up to 500°F. Proudly made in Portugal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Obsessed!! My first one came completely cracked and not packaged well without a cook book. I exchanged for a new one. This one came with tons of bubble wrap!I’m not going to lie I was so nervous using this. Idk why.. maybe because I’m so used to preheating and also using an enamel Dutch oven pot for my breads. I soaked it for 30 min for first use like instructed, now I made the mistake of not using parchment or spraying because I was so focused on not screwing up, so I did get slight sticking on the bottom. I’ve seen two different ways of using this pot. One, put it in a cold even and let it heat up with the oven, and pull out then put food in. Or, place food in and cook altogether first placed in a cold even while preheating. I chose to let it go altogether which did take longer than normal. I’d probably say I normally cook for 40 min total and this added 20 min, 60 min total. I did take the lid off carefully the last 10 min of cook time. I’m not complaining though because this bread was baked to perfection and so yummy!! I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I also was very careful to not place on a cold surface to break the pot as it can’t handle extreme temperature changes. Lastly, my hubby is from Portugal, and I love that this comes from there!! It comes with a recipe book as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Clay Baker! Love this baker. It’s the perfect size for my husband and I. It makes beautiful loaves of bread 🍞. Best part, no more messing with piping hot dutch ovens. This goes into the oven cold after soaking the top for 10 minutes. Great investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Perfect for Crusty Sourdough Bread I find these clay roasters work far better than enamel Dutch ovens for several reasons. First, bread baked in them always develops a wonderful, crispy crust. My family prefers smaller, traditional loaves with dinner, while a Dutch oven produces a large round loaf that rarely gets finished in one meal—any leftovers usually go stale and end up wasted. The clay baker is also very user-friendly. Its glazed interior ensures the bread releases easily after baking, with no sticking. For the final rise, I simply place the dough inside the baker and cover it with the lid. Then, I put the baker directly into a cold oven. When it’s time to bake, I leave everything in place, set the oven to 400°F, and add 10 minutes to the baking time to account for preheating. After 20 minutes, I remove the lid and let the bread finish baking uncovered.Even when I forget to soak the lid in water, the bread still turns out beautifully crusty. Having baked bread for many years, I’ve tried various clay bakers, but these are the best I’ve found. While enamel Dutch ovens are good, these smaller clay bakers are simply superior for producing delicious bread to serve at your table.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique Baker I love thos little thing. I bake our bread in it. I don’t soak it, and never add to a hot oven. But it’s a perfect shape for bread. But you can roast just about anything in it. Good price, too. Made in Portugal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bread pan Works amazing. When making bread I soak the lid first and only preheat the bottom part of the pan!
