5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy Le Creuset My gourmet-cook Hubbers has wanted a dutch oven to add to his cookware. Le Creuset has always been the gold standard. This year, I was planning on splitting the cost of one of those with his sister – but first, I did some research. I discovered that real cooks were slamming Le Creuset’s quality, and the recommended pot was this new Made In oven. I bought it, worried that the price was lower – could it really be as good?Reader/cooks: HELL YES, it is that good and better! The fit and finish is perfect. The made-in (see what I did there?) voyage for this pot? Short ribs in demi-glace. The 6-hour-cook in the oven produced perfection not achieved in the slow cooker. Skip the Le Crueset over-priced pot and get this instead. You’ll be glad you did!Variation: Color: Blue
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for everything After much research and owning other cast iron and carbon steel pans, this Dutch oven is perfect. I use it daily. From making homemade yogurt, to browning beef for a shepherd’s pie, and baking sourdough bread, it’s my favorite by far. And it is the perfect size for the 2 of us or the 7 when the kids are home. I only wish it was a little bit lighter. But all cast iron is heavy. It is also very easy to clean. Money well invested.Variation: Color: Blue
